I’m a just Houston kid who landed in Dallas. I grew up in The Woodlands, Texas with my parents and two brothers. I accepted Jesus as my Savior at a young age, but had a narrow lens of what being a follower of Jesus looked like until the later part of high school. My faith and actions were more of a list of “do’s and don’ts” rather than because of a personal relationship with Jesus. Thankfully, God reminded me over and over again that His ways are better than my own; and that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection calls me to believe that He alone is worthy of my trust and praise.
Throughout college at Texas A&M University, I spent my school year studying and hanging out with junior high students in a discipleship program, then the last past 4 summers were spent working for Sky Ranch in Colorado at Family Camp. It was through my own family and these two ministries that God gave me a passion for the importance of cultivating healthy, Christ-centered families and walking with those that are coming from hard places. Now, I have the privilege of working for Watermark and serving the families that walk through the doors!I am an old soul, for sure. I legitimately spend free time cross stitching and looking up new baking recipes. Most of my trips are centered around National Parks—trying to knock out all 58 (the dream is to add in an RV at some point)! And I probably drink more Dr. Pepper than I do water; as well as eat more queso and guacamole than I do normal meals.
