DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: JULY 13, 2014 Hero Image

Did you leave after hearing Sunday’s message and think, “Well, now what?” Each Sunday, we will provide a discussion guide for our church body designed to create a conversation about what we’re learning. We encourage you to prayerfully gather with your family, friends and community group and dive into how to apply Sunday’s teaching from God’s Word to your life.

  1. Psalm 46:10 says: “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” In your daily rhythm of life, what would it look like for you to stop and acknowledge God? Discuss with your community group how you can specifically encourage one another to practice this.
  2. Todd shared the story of a prostitute who consistently prayed for God to change her but failed to act on what God called her to do. Do you resonate with this? Is there an area of your life God wants to change but you are having difficulty stepping out in faith to act on what He would have you do? Share with your community a specific step you need to take to respond to God then have them hold you to action.
  3. The Watermark News is full of discipleship opportunities for us to grow in intimacy with God. Read through these opportunities as a community and discuss next steps you should take either individually or as a group. As a group, commit to taking that next step.
  4. Pray for the expansion opportunities Watermark has regarding the Fort Worth, Plano, and Dallas campuses. Ask the Lord how you should respond to these opportunities and discuss as a group.
