Union Gospel Mission

About Us
The mission of our ministry is to call the under-resourced of Dallas to know Christ in a way that transforms their daily lives. Our volunteers are the vessels used to model and pour out Christ's love on the homeless and under-resourced people we serve. We envision a time where the human and financial resources (time, talents and treasures) of every fully-devoted follower of Christ are consistently sacrificed to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the under-resourced in Dallas in a manner consistent with Christ's example. We try to model our ministry approach on 1 Thessalonians 2:8, "We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us." During our time at UGM, we focus on:

  • Building authentic, same-sex mentoring relationships between Watermark volunteers and the UGM disciples; and
  • Creatively and unconditionally loving and serving the clients.

What To Wear

Our heart is to dress in a manner that would be neither a stumbling block nor a distraction to the men, women, and children of UGM. Therefore we would like to follow the guidelines set by UGM as listed below:

  • Dress comfortably and modestly.
  • Refrain from wearing hats, shorts, tank tops, tight fitting clothes, short skirts or dresses, or T-shirts with offensive language or pictures.
  • Please wear close toe shoes if working in the kitchen.
