Veronica Lisle
I am married to a courageous husband who loves the Lord named Bill Lisle III. I was born and raised in McAllen, Texas with my parents and two younger brothers. I come from a legacy of Longhorns so it was no surprise that I ended up at the University of Texas at Austin for college. Hook Em! My husband and I spend most of our time laughing, experimenting in our kitchen, enjoying our friends & families, watching movies and living spontaneously.
My story of coming to know Jesus began shortly after years of living in isolation in college. I eventually hit what most folks refer to as “rock bottom.” I was consumed with living life for me, finding my significance in man, and using relationships to identify what my self-worth was. Yet, I knew there had to be something more to this life. That was when a co-worker invited me to Watermark. I thought that how I’d been living my life was the answer to what it meant to be loved; until I found out what real love is and that is Jesus.
After coming to know Jesus, my life radically began change. For the first time, I had women around me to share life with who encouraged me, challenged me and always pointed me to truth. They were instrumental because my flesh continually wants to drift away from where life can be found. Over time, I started to see my heart’s desires change. That began the journey of leaving the corporate world to be part of the adventure of doing ministry here. I am often humbled that I get to be a part of women’s lives that are transformed by Him through community groups, as I have seen Him completely transform mine.
