I grew up in Garland, Texas and have two loving parents and a sister. I understood at an early age my need for Christ and accepted Him as my Savior. I have always been drawn to working and helping children. When I went off to Texas A&M I wanted to become a psychologist for children.  Schooling did not work out so well in the psychology department so I moved over to the education department.

Upon graduation I could not get a teaching job. I spent the summer at TBarM sports camp, then became a nanny.  From nannying I moved to an administrative assistant, to flower arranging, to teaching elementary school… where I thought I had found my true calling.  Until the day I realized that I was much more concerned about my students’ hearts than I was about their math and science ability.  After much prayer and discussion I decided to leave teaching to go back to school for my masters in counseling.

In July 2002, I received a phone call from Kyle Kaigler asking me to come join him in leading our 1st-5th grade ministry at Watermark.  After about a week “on the job” I told anyone who would listen that I was convinced I had found what I was created to do.  The freedom to share truth about who Jesus is and to really focus on kids’ hearts was a total gift.

In March 2010 I moved over to the Family Ministry to partner with parents to raise up the next generation of fully devoted followers of Christ.  I believe parenting is the toughest job out there and I consider it a great privilege in getting to partner with Watermark families to follow God’s truth in discipling their kiddos.

When I’m not “on the job” I love partnering with Watermark in our Africa Orphan sponsorship, watching the Aggies & Cowboys play football, taking photos and spending time with my friends.  I am an external processor, a crier, and I love queso and ice cream. Thankful every day that God chooses to use us to make His name more famous and to bring glory to Him.
