My wife, Joy, and I have been married since 2003 and we have two kiddos at home, Griffin and Maddy. I love any kind of competition, any kind of sugar, and country dancing with my wife. My heroes include John Lewis, Col. Bruce Patterson, and the inventor of simulated thunderstorm in the Tom Thumb produce section – I mean, what presentation!
I am very passionate about college ministry because it is in the heart of what psychologist call the “impact decade,” the journey when one goes from his/her parents table and ends up at their own. We get to influence students as they begin to chart out their life and make their own decisions. These students will be the next leaders in industry, technology, art, and in the church. I can’t imagine a more important calling and am so proud to have the role that I do!
Also, college students love competition, sugar, and country dancing, so we kind of get along.
