Director of Newly Marrieds

My life began in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. When I was eight, I found myself saying yes to Jesus through the Holy Spirit’s work on my heart and a rockin’ flannel graph. At the time, I felt different, but I had no idea about the commitment I had made and the life of submission that was before me. During junior high, I began to get involved in a small group Bible study through K-Life. The friends I found there and the God-fearing men who invested their lives in me helped make the gospel come alive and shape my future.

After high school, I enrolled at Oklahoma State University and decided to major in engineering. During my time in college I discovered that I bleed orange and I get fired up about all things OSU athletics. I also discovered that engineering wasn’t for me, but in my pride and my desire for wealth and security, I never changed my major. In a sovereign stroke of genius, the Lord led me to the world of Pine Cove; where I worked four summers for my former youth pastor and met an amazing young lady named Mandy.

In the summer of 2002, Mandy and I got married and I took a position as a young adult & college pastor back in Oklahoma. It was during this time that I became more aware of my passion for investing in the lives of others through life-on-life discipleship. In the summer of 2005, the Lord opened the door for a return to Pine Cove. I spent the next six years directing the Ranch Camp. During that time, my wife and I were able to invest in the lives of some incredible college staff and the Lord blessed us with four kids: Allie, Caleb, Riley & Griffin.

I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports of all kinds, reading, and wood working. Together, my wife and I enjoy board games, traveling, and finding great hole in the wall restaurants. I’m excited to shepherd leaders and young couples through foundation groups.
