Kaity Avance
Hey y’all! My name is Kaity Avance and I have had the wonderful privilege of serving on the Watermark College team, ONE28, since fall of 2010. I consider this my dream job and have loved almost every moment of it. This ministry is particularly close to my heart, because it played a significant role in my walk with Christ when I was a student at SMU. It was at Watermark and ONE28 that I heard the gospel for the first time, and through the college team’s love and discipleship that I committed my life to Christ.
Since then Christ has and continues to radically change my life, my understanding of the world and the woman I want to be. I am deeply passionate about serving women in college and at SMU because it was there that God plucked me out of complete darkness and destruction and brought me to life. One of the biggest blessings He has given me is a godly, Christ-honoring husband – Brandon – whom I have been married to for two years. We have way too much fun for our own good, love eating good food (usually in Bishop Arts) and playing board games (Ticket to Ride or Settlers of Catan) with great friends.
