David Morrison
College ministry has been a passion of mine since I trusted Christ at the age of 19. In the midst of hypocrisy and an unrelenting pursuit of anything that was about me, God saved me. He forgave me, showed me the stupidity of my sin, the glory of the cross and the goodness of Himself. Since then it’s been two steps forward and one step back as He teaches me to be more like His Son. I love college ministry and have had a passion for it since my days at Texas A&M where God taught me so much.
After college I married my high school sweetheart, Julia. We have two baby girls, Ava and Abby. Parenting has easily been the most challenging and rewarding experience of our lives. I love my girls and can’t imagine life without them. Nothing encourages me more than the cheers I get from those three.
When I’m not doing the parenting thing, I like a good book, especially those written by John Piper. I like almost all things sports with special emphasis on Rangers baseball and college football. Those two hobbies are much improved when coupled with a cheeseburger and a Coca-Cola. And I think real, deep, authentic conversation over a campfire is a good way to spend an evening.
