David Dzina
I grew up in Dallas in loved anything that had to do with sports, fun, and going against the crowd. At the age of 9 I accepted Christ as my Savior at a Christian camp. Until the time I was 33 though my idea how a Christian lived was a list of things not to do and tried my best to follow a set of rules. What followed was a wake of failure, destruction, isolation, and loneliness. At the end of my rope, finding myself divorced, alone, and living in a hotel I finally told God I was tired of trying to control life on my own and was ready to submit to His authority.
His Word came alive in me and 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us “Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come!” and my life is a living testimony to that verse. I became passionate about men leading themselves, their wives, and their families as God commands us to. Serving as a Married Community Director allows me to live that passion daily.
Today I am married to a God fearing woman named Robbin and we have 3 great kids – Paige, Mollie, and Drew. Who knows, someday we might add some more kiddos to our quiver! Outside of Christ my first love is to hang out with my family, whether it is fun dates with Robbin, playing games with the kids, being outside exploring, or sitting at the table talking about our day. I have also been known to run a little and keeping up with all things Baylor and Texas Rangers.
