Bobby Crotty
It was a simple lunch . . . Dickey's during Training Day in February 2007. But it changed my life. Blake Holmes asked me during that lunch if I would be interested in serving as the minister to men at Watermark. The question came from left field, and nothing has been the same since! After meeting with lots of guys and much prayer and discussion with my family, I said yes. Not sure it was a call, but it certainly has been an adventure.
I am a Dallas boy born and raised. Trusted Christ on Easter Sunday 1967. I went to college at Virginia Military Institute, law school at UT, and clocked thirty years of practicing law until that lunch. My wife Sarah and I have two adult children and a new son-in-law who love the Lord and often counsel me with Scripture when I need it. Sarah founded and helps lead the Square One ministry at Watermark.
I play golf with hickory-shafted clubs made in the 1920's and have even competed in the U.S. Hickory Open. And I love to hunt, read and study the Word (a thirty-year-old Highland Park housewife who helped lead Young Life when I attended HPHS instilled in me a love for the Word that continues to this day).
